The MSCI AC (All Country) Asia ex Japan Index (MXAPJ) is a free float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index that is designed to measure the equity market performance of Asia, excluding Japan. As of March 2011 the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan Index consisted of the following 10 developed and emerging market country indices: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. Illiquid securities held by the fund impacted the fund's overall performance during the 1st quarter of 2010. The fund may invest 15% of its net assets in illiquid securities, which are investments that cannot be sold or disposed of in the ordinary course of business within seven days at approximately the prices at which they are valued. |
